They can calm, excite, or even inspire in certain abstract ways. Business logo design is still worth the time and expense that it takes. Your company needs to take an active role in designing the logo. Don't let a design firm take over the whole process. Although they may know more about the aesthetics of design, you know more about what image your company is aiming to project. Business logos and slogans make up the core of corporate identity. People associate your business with your logo. Do you think Starbucks would have succeeded without such a calm, soothing logo? Do you believe McDonald's would be what it is today without the the bright cheeriness of the Golden Arches? Of course not! Business logos have always been, and will always be, central to the establishment of any brand. Without a corporate logo, a corporation is just a cold, faceless entity. A logo provides a face for the organization.
